Summer Camp at Saddlebrook

Saddlebrook Stables is a CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) certified Summer Camp and Riding Facility. We emphasize Safety, Fun and Education. Campers spend a fun-filled week (MONDAY - FRIDAY 9am-3pm) at Saddlebrook consisting of horseback riding, animal husbandry, equine first aid, bandaging, braiding, arts & crafts, dress-your-horse day- just to name a few of the fun-filled activities.

Campers should arrive promptly at 9am, ready to ride (long pants, shoes with a heel). Campers should bring a bagged lunch (refrigerator available), and plenty of drinks and snacks. Riding class is first, with animal husbandry next. Parts of the horse, tack, and other equipment will be instructed. Vaulting and side-saddle will also be part of the curriculum.

Arts and Crafts and nature trail walks will complete a fun-filled day at Saddlebrook.

Each camper is assigned a riding horse and a care horse. They must feed, groom and take care of their care horse, tend to any bumps or bruises that the horse may have, and make sure they have fly repellent on before being turned out in the field.

Campers not only learn how to ride, but also learn teamwork, safety, self-confidence and responsibility while at Saddlebrook.

2008 Summer Camp Dates will be posted soon!

Camp Fee:  TBA:  A non-refundable 20% deposit (per child per week) is due with application.  Balance is due 1 week prior to your child's first day of camp.
